Catalytic Performance of a New Type Mononuclear Cobalt Schiff Base Complex for Water Oxidation

A bis Schiff base ligands was synthesized using 2-hydroxy benzaldehyde and ethylenediamine. With schlenk technique and nitrogen protecting conditions, anhydrous cobalt chloride was reacted with the ligands in a 1∶1 molar ratio to form a mononuclear cobalt (II) Schiff base complex used for electrically driven catalytic water oxidation. After purified, the complex was characterized using nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared spectroscopy and high resolution mass spectrometry. And the electrochemical performance of the catalytic oxidation of water was investigated by cyclic voltammetry using electrochemical workstation. The result indicated that the catalyst has an active electrically driven water oxidation catalytic activity under the condition of neutral pH, and the initial oxygen release potential of the oxidation peak is only 0.5 V. The multiple consecutive scan results of the CVs showed that there was no new redox reaction in the process of water oxidation.Therefore the catalytic system was with good stability. Combined with the low synthesis cost and the difficulty of synthesis and purification, the complex is considered to have good research value and application prospect in the field of catalytic water oxidation.

The Hybrid Mixed Finite Element Method for Elliptic Interface Problem

This paper discusses the hybrid mixed finite element method for elliptic interface problem in which the solution and gradient are discontinuous because of jump conditions across the interface. For the twodimensional elliptic interface problem, we propose the hybrid mixed finite element method on triangulation. The properties of this method mainly reflect in the following: the triangular mesh can nicely approximate the complex interface|they provide the approximations of all the variables, including the solution and gradient, with the optimal order|the matrix of final linear algebra systems is symmetric and positive definite, so it can be numerically solved by using for example conjugate gradient method. Numerical examples demonstrate the validity of hybrid mixed finite element method for elliptic interface problems. 

In the process of oilfield development, oil, gas, water and mud flow in the formation or pipe, under the conditions of ripe, oil dirties, scale or dirt would be produced. In actual production, oil and dirt were usually accompanied by the scale, so the scale trend prediction research was critical. the theoretical model of OddoTomos saturation index method, and how to make use of OddoTomos saturation index method to predict the scale in the process of production were introduced in this paper, the field scale influence on oil field, to provide theoretical basis for production in the next step were expounded and analyzed.

In the production of hazardous chemicals present through the use or process of enterprises and institutions to investigate, determined the focus of prevention in Fushun City, and established a spatial database of dangerous goods and hazardous source spatial database. The environmental mathematical model was integrated into the geographic information systems, the use of geographic information system software MapObject and programming software Visual Basic 6.0, established Fushun unexpected environmental pollution emergency information. The system can simulate the migration of pollution diffusion process group to predict pollutant concentration and time of arrival, location in the event of accident quickly and easily in the event of accident, warning information timely in order to start the plan, prevent and mitigate the losses caused by pollution.
